This page is the short, plain-language statement of what Luxemetry is and is not. The terms of use are the binding rules. The methodology page explains how the models are built.
1. Estimates, not market quotes
Lease payments, residuals, money factors, depreciation curves, insurance ranges, maintenance budgets, watch secondary-market premiums, and yacht operating costs on this site are generated from publicly available information and standard industry formulas. They are rounded on purpose. A figure with extra digits would imply a precision the market does not have.
Actual terms are set by dealers, leasing banks, brokers, insurers, shipyards, and other counterparties. They change by region, model year, credit tier, options, mileage, and the month the deal is written. Confirm every number with the party who will sign the contract before you commit.
2. Not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice
Luxemetry is an informational publisher. Taegye Lab is not a licensed financial adviser, broker-dealer, lender, insurer, accountant, or attorney. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to enter a transaction, hold an asset, or treat a luxury object as an investment.
We do not sell cars, arrange financing, or bind insurance. Carrier links on Deal Desk are outbound quote starts. Luxemetry is not an insurance agent.
Secondary-market values for watches, cars, and yachts can fall as well as rise. A modeled five-year holding result is not a forecast of what you will receive. Tax treatment of leases, loans, depreciation, and imported assets varies by jurisdiction and by the taxpayer. Speak to a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
3. No affiliation with the brands shown
Manufacturer, maison, builder, and model names appear only to identify the object being measured. Luxemetry is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any automaker, watchmaker, shipyard, dealer, or lender named on the site. Trademarks remain the property of their owners.
4. Calculators run on your device
Values you type into a calculator are processed in your browser. We do not receive those inputs and we do not store them. The two exceptions are lookups you start deliberately: a VIN goes to our server to NHTSA; the decoded vehicle year, make and model are used to query FuelEconomy.gov, and coordinates for the marine snapshot go to our server and on to Open-Meteo; lookup responses may be cached and requests may appear in provider or hosting logs. Hosting and analytics partners may still see ordinary technical signals, as described in the privacy policy.
5. Advertising
The site does not serve display advertising. Google AdSense was rejected and has been abandoned. Affiliate relationships, where they appear, are disclosed on the pages that use them. Merchants have no influence on which models are covered, which formulas are used, or which estimate a page shows.
6. Corrections
Market data ages. If a list price, residual, service interval, or other input no longer matches a public source, email hello@taegye.com with the model, the figure, and the source. Material corrections change the page review date.
